I've just checked and the MODEL number is:

    KD-KZN185W-GAPGH

    Any info/suggestions for what I've got ?

(The Frame number is the Vin on mine)

    Cheers

    It's different for 3rd gens:

KD is diesel. E is petrol.

    KZN185 is 3.0 diesel. VZN185 is 3.4 petrol. RZN185 is 2.7 petrol.

G is standard body, W is wide body

Then they all have another G.

K is standard body, A is wide body

P is Auto, M is manual

    S is SSR, V is SSR-V, X is SSR-X, G is SSR-G

H means you have an intercooler.

So you have a 3.0 TD wide body auto SSR-G with an intercooler.

Very funny, so now I'm being snubbed, will it help any if I add that mine has the fake wood dash, winter pack? sunroof? EM?

There'll be some tumbleweed roll by in a minute & the sound of a church bell

Crikey, anyone would think I had work to do.

If the bit next to SSR is wider than the SSR but not as tall, then it used to say 'Limited' there.

It means nothing. Don't worry about it.

you can tell a mysterious from the strange clunking sounds it makes, or the mushrooms growing in the damp boot,or possibly even the feeling that ,just occasionally, ou are running on square wheels...its so .............................. ..mysterious

almost forgot, mine has the added option of wood screws holding the dash together
            Non intercooled nothing.

                What difference does it make?

Is it not on the V5?

And - the model varients don't mean much here anyway, the cars were always spec'd on build in Japan, so it's rare to find one that has stuck to the original badged spec...

The 4th digit or whatever comes after SSR is higher & lower than the SSR, I want to replace the badge but don't want to put the wrong badge on, first thing I checked was the V5 but there's no reference to it, is there anywhere on the net where I might find pictures of the badge options?

It may sound stupid but it bothers me that the badge is missing, I need to replace it, where would I get one from?

                    Cheers

I thought it was just the meds I'm on - but clearly not.....

There is nothing lower than SSR.....

why not just get a TRD badge or something and be unique? OR - are you selling so you want it to be complete??????????????

Take a pic of the VIN and post it so we can try and help you!

No, it's the meds. 'Lower' in this context, which has changed, refers to the dimensions of the missing badge (I hope).

I am almost certain that it's an SSR Limited as the VIN shows an SSR, but there was no detail of whether models were limited or not on the VIN. I suspect that the word 'Limited' is missing from the back and was asking if the space where it goes is wider and lower than the badge that says SSR, as those are the dimensions of the 'Limited' badge.

My brain only hurts because the space is apparently simultaneously higher and lower, which is a bit confusing. And because I drank all that Budvar last night.

Oh - that's where it all went - when the shop toad told me Adam had it all, I had no idea what they meant.....
