  • How Easy/Hard Are These To Install?

    Hi All,

I was thinking of getting these:-

    White Dials

    How good are they?

Is it fairly simple or a bit of a palaver?

I can take the dash apart no probs but need info about these dials!

    Has anyone fitted them?

    Cheers!

    Gary

Search the forum, there's a few of us have them. A bit fiddly, but worth it.
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

It's a lil bit of a pain but not overly bad.

Looks worse then it all is when the dash is in parts etc.

well worth it! BDT's pics look great but they dont do the dials justice!!

            love 'em

turbo light is there on the rev counter as would be on a 2.4,same set for the 3.0,so it doesnt do anything,in a nut shell, once u have clocks out,u unscrew clear plastic off,u take needles off carefully, fork behind them to lever them out is best, once faces are on,u have to route the wiring out the back of clockd, and remove most if not all the little dash bulbs,we left closest to needles in to light them up a touch, wiring goes to sidelight live, then u need to fit little control panel somewhere, mine is by ignition, but most important is,before u put needles back on,plug clocks back in then carefully put needles on,then double check them again after

Hey BDT2, I'm a little confused here. The description for the ones that are in the Ebay link posted by Hellmett, says -

No need to remove any needles or change any Bulbs to fit these kits.

I take it you got bulbs etc with yours? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? (Or barking mad? )

The bulbs can stay in. I left mine in an they dont show.

The needles do have to come off! The only bit i think is really sh!t about them is you have to pull the speedo needle rest off an glue it on again!!

as rod said needles have to come off,the confusion lies in the fact the clocks illuminate themselves,u can leave bulbs in as rod has,but i just wanted so needles got extra light cause the clocks wont light the needles

                        Are they available in km/h?

Isn't that what the Surfs come with when they're imported?
