    hi all this may sound daft but is there a connection between Mitsubishi shogun and Isuzu trooper . i have a bighorn (yes cr-p name) and it has mitsi fan belts on it and on you tube theres a mk1 trooper with a mtsi decal on the side the mk1 of both look very similar .

        my engine was made by isuzu
        on the log book and toyota says its a toyota hilux / hiace hybread engine
        i did a sertch to see how much for a new engine
        it was strait from isuzu?

              I dunno whether it would be hybrid, or just the Hiace and the Hilux use the same 2.4 engine.

              Plenty of car makers do it. The engine from my Mk1 MR2 was the same engine as the Corolla GTi, and the engine from my Celica GT4 was the same as the engine from the Mk2 MR2 turbo.
