exhaust ideas

well what to do .

center box is blowing plus the rear pipe , sooo i just picked up a 6ft lenth
of flexi (60mill int) and was thinking of sending it out of the center at the back.

i will need to find a box first.
so any ideas , as i remember a few exhaust mods from last year .

i dont mind it being a bit louder but dont want it ( boy racer ) load

it is loud tbh,but i like it,prob more loud as mine has a landcruiser turbo

no good for offroading tho lol

its all standard to middle,then stainless to the back box,when the front goes i'll prob put an old school cherry bomb in the middle lol

that would be way load.
anyway im getting to old for that , buuut.
i may take it off at the flange in front of the middle box and see just how load it is and work from that .

u may suprise yourself,you get a nice sound from the 3.0

I used the front box (the one closest to the engine) off my stainless steel Jetex zorst that was fitted to my Golf GTI. I had some spare flexible steel air-con pipe that just slid over the exhaust on the Surf (the stub from the mid-box). I used this to connect to the Jetex box. Because the Jetex pipe-work had a slit in one end (to necessitate joining to the mid-box that it's supposed to connect to) I had to stick a Rip-off-speed "exhaust embellisher" on the end to cover up the sharp bits. My friends describe the sound as being like "a quiet jet"...

Perhaps I should point out that before I did this, I had no back box for the best part of 8 months. You wouldn't have known it, cos it wasn't loud at all. I only made myself a back box in case it failed the MOT without it.

A member on ere (Webbo) supply'd all the tube/bends for mine, the box and flexi was from Pipewerx, sounds nice and does make a difference to power, it's breathing a lot better, i was running for about two months with no box at all,

thats were my next ones going
never had to replace it yet but the day is coming
