is there only one type of tailgate?
    seems a crazy setup,having to
    unlock the spare
    swing it out,
    relock it with pin
    lower the window (fingers crossed)
    unlock the tailgate
    release the tailgate
    absolute madness?
nothing annoys me more about my surf than the krypton factor boot.

there's the type that doesn't have the wheel on the tailgate, it's underneath.

a lot of us have the spare under the surf at the back so we dont have that problem. i open my rear window at least 16 times a day as my work equipment is in the back. a rear mounted spare would be a pain for me.

Or...... you could have one like mine, spare underneath but no key hole at all! In fact the only way I can open the back window from the drivers seat, see pic. I've got a tailgate as smooth as a babies bum!!!

The agility test used to annoy me when I first got the truck. Now I don't even notice it- just do it automatically. The best laugh is when I chuck my keys to a workmate and say,"Put these in the back of the car please." Confused or what?

Will be getting an alarm fitted very soon and a remote rear window opening 'oojit' is what I'll be asking for. Do you think it's available?

usually part of the total closure... get a decent cat 1 and ask the fitter... clifford or toad would probably be your best bet for "add ons"

Oh go on then, I'll tell yer. If you take a very close look, (and I mean very) at the o/s part of the bumper you'll see an extra bit of black plastic, that's the illumination bit and the plate fits just below it. Doh, obviously!!
