sorry this might be in the wrong section but i need a price on a new/or recondtioned starter motor, so i belive its a 2.4 auto all that i have got to go by is (LN130) cant find the documents and cant remember

a. i need the price
b. where to get one from

any adive appreciated

a firm near me reconed mines for £65 plus vat
so it cant be that much of a price differance from area to area

Oooh, the old starter re-furb.

On the 3.0, the hardest part is getting the damn thing out! I ended up removing the fuel filter assembly and passing it up that way.

Replacing the contacts and plunger is a doddle though.

not tht i know of, only tcompany that springs to mind would be electro diesel north east, they may do them altough i just found one on ebay and was wondering has any one else bought one

how old is your truck? i have an 1989 and the starter is different to the post 1991 models. if you have a 91 on wards get the kit from roughtrax. the most difficult bit will be trying to get the bugger out in the first place. refurb is straight foward. good luck and get ready for scraped knuckles and lots of swearing!!
