well gotta say, next year, the aim is to get a 3.0 litre 2nd gen and do to it what i have done to the 2.4, aong with a snorkel and rear diff lock....thats just going to be my toy,as it never missed a beat in the presence of pajeros and lr's on a recent day out.
mrs gwh wants a land cruiser as our family car though, so i will probably still need to keep the little corsa as its so cheap to run.

I've read a few things that say it would be best up front.

Less articulation means the front end is most likely to end up just spinning.

Saying that... you could fit another set of free wheeling hubs an just weld the front diff an then fit a rear diff lock....

In theory yes, but in reality, all you do is destroy CV joints every time you give it any stick and the wheels are turned, especially on 33's or bigger.

IMHO, best to put it in the back and not have to worry.
