Flasher !!

Hi All

Got a little problem with the indicators on the left hand side of the truck. They are flashing at twice the speed than normal. I have had the bulbs out and they and the conections are fine. Any thoughts?

your not using LED bulbs are you?

first make sure all the indicator bulbs are working left and right hand side, then if they are, sounds like the repeater relay has had a funny one for the left !!

they usually just stop working but hey these are surfs

Funny thing is when I put the hazards on they all work fine...?

Where do I find the "Flasher Unit" I can hear it but not see it ....do I need to strip the dash out...?

i think the flasher unit is up behind the lower dash on the drivers side so you will need to take the lower dash out to get to it easier as its above the fuses etc up there

Thanks found the little blighter! I will whip the one out of my other surf and see if that fixes it

hazards and indicators will use separate flasher units.

As people already said, chances are it's that that's gone. Or a bulb not playing ball, even a wing repeater gone can have that effect.

I got the flasher unit out of my other truck...no difference!! then my mate came over and pointed out the indicator light in the bumper was not working............. I hadn't even checked them..just the ones on the sides and back.....
