check the 80 amp fuse in the main fuse box.o/s engine bay.

did it ever come on?mine only flickers on for half a sec,sure it's not an immobiliser somewhere?

Truck will generally start in the end, even with no glow plugs, so you might have an immobilser/ECU problem.

Crack an injector and make sure its getting fuel, then you can rule out the fuel pump electrics.

Try the fault codes as well.

Is it getting 12V to the glow plug busbar?

Sussed it I think. If I unplug the wires from the ecu and plug them straight back in bingo. Then when I turn it off no glow. Unplug the wires and back in bingo. So I guess a new ecu is the order of the day.

Is your digital clock working, a fuse that lives under the drivers side footwell powers the clock, the cig lighter and something in the glow plug circuit. If i blow it with too heavy a load on the cig lighter, no glow plugs

I'm sending chillit a ecu for his truck but if it turns out not to be the ecu causing his probs then mine will be up for sale again.
I got plenty of 2.4 ecu's but no=one wants them
