by the way guys thanks for the advice on the sat nav, it now resides in a bin . except for the tv screen my daughters got that in the back with a ps2.
another question for you though is there anyone in the uk that does a rear spare wheel carrier for a 92 surf ?

If your's has an underside carrier, chancces are that the rear inner pillars haven't been strengthend to take the swing a side carrier.
It may be worth looking inside the raer o/s wing to see.
It has been difficult trying to find one in the UK.
Apart from that its either a home made affair or stick with what you've got

As recently as the last few weeks there have been people asking the opposite and who want to stash the spare underneath. You never know your luck, someone might want to do a mutual swop.
