  • What a bl**dy day!! FAO Popeye + Koi

Right, got down to ians about 1ish.
Picked up the Mig welder! (cheers mate! )

Picked up the wheels for Koi after speaking to the bloke.
Ian very kindly put some bin bags an towels down in my truck so the seats didn't get muddy!

Then.... clunk!! rear window motor is fcuked!!
Unfortunatly that means i had to leave the tyres an wheels at Popeyes. There would be no way to get to the window motor to get the window open again with them in the boot!! Sorry Koi mate.
So, thats the weekend sorted out!! I'll be stripping that an sorting it out.

But then.... the best is yet to come!!! (an Ian, you should appreciate this considering i said "ive not had any real trouble with it yet" )

The pile of fcuking shit tries to over heat on the way home!!!!
31 miles?! Between myself an popeye, Hardly a big trek!!

The thing i noticed first was that my left foot was getting bl**dy hot! I thought to myself "This aint going to be very good for the rad, Probably get a bit of heat soak off this...."

Look down an the needle starts to move!!

I think an ATF cooler just became very high on the list. So we'll see, If it cures it! Great...

    If not.....

Why did it overheat Rod? Were you clogging it uphill with those big tyres on?

It certainly was a case of sods law Rod, i thought after you left it may be easier to do the motor if you can drop the gate and run the window out (on supports) which will give ya more room behind the motor bolts, then you dont have to remove the whole thing or maybe you do, as i said i aint had to do this repair "yet" glad you got home ok tho, as for the overheating i dunno mate, have you ever flushed it etc? mine always heats more on the long incline between portsmouth and gosport, and then cools on the downgrade after that, i feel like the guy in "duel" screaming "come on" at it
just been reading through Scorpion's post on the window repair very helpfull, hope you get it sorted ok, awesome looking truck that,

Really sorry i couldn't have helped you mate.

Btw, Just been out an pulled the rad cap... got a nice sucking noise, added about 2 pints to the coolant!!

Not sure if it just loses a bit of water or ive been running it for ages half empty or if the worse is yet to come!

My Dads impressed by the mig welder btw Ian!

I'm going from Bournemouth to Maidenhead on sunday, will be in a van too. So I can make a detour to Portsmouth and collect the wheels. Anyone able to collect them from Maidenhead? Can't leave them at Mrs Chaos's mother's for too long.

funny he spoke quite highly of you

yeah any where nearer to hertfordshire is good, no rush as long as they are here by monday seriously not in a great rush for them as yet so as long as ian's happy to hold on to them for a while not a problem to wait for a while
