Gen3 : New wheels.

Hey guys, I'm after another set of wheels for some offroad tyres.

I was told that the Gen2 wheel wont fit, so is it the offset, or the 15" part that's the issue?

(I've been on the eBay hunt for a second set of gen3 alloys with no success)

3rd gens have 16" wheels fitted as standard.

I believe the 3rd gen has bigger brake calipers so the 15's won't fit

Its the 15" thats the issue for reasons as stated by Bob. Dont restrict your wheel search to Surfs, most Jap 6 studs have the same PCD ( 137.5mm) so wheels from a Trooper/Shogun/Nissans etc etc will fit although offset could be an issue with some, you just need to check. You could even go for the good old faithful Steels if you only want them for a bit of offroading. You can probably get new steels cheaper than most 2nd hand alloys

Hi i have a full set of 5 complete with centre caps 3 good tyres and 2 not so good, only problem is where you live.

i have a set of 4 alloys which i bought off apache which i may be selling soon they allready have mud tyres on them khumo venture on the fronts ,insa turbo dakar on the rears [recently bought ] all tyres are the same tread pattern +a spare khumo without a rim

ps there not standard toyota alloys

I've seen a few sets of these on eBay.



They are 15", and have 31x10.50 R15 tyres. Will they fit a stock suspension Gen3 do people think?

NO they wont. As stated earlier ( a few times ) 15" wheels WONT fit a 3rd gen because the 3rd gen has bigger brake discs and stuff
