    Anyone see it tonight ?

For those 2nd gen guys who have experienced the joys of headlamp bulb replacements there IS a god

The Renault Megane makes the Surf seem like a 5 second wonder with the best part of 3/4 hour to change the bulb, this did include removing the wheel. If the heap has xenon it's well over an hour as the bumper has to come off.

Don't you just love these stylish french designers ?

I think they hope that once a bulb goes, it becomes uneconomical to repair... so it'll be scrapped...

      The Renault that is...
Change mine in 30 mins... easy...

The only parts of 5th gear that are watchable are when JP & VB-H are on. The other knobheads on there make it unbearable.

I've had the manual out, swatted up and tried, it looks like I change both bulbs on Squirrile in the time that it would take to do one for Hippo

And no need to strip the engine bay out to do it - whooppeee !!!!!

However the pleasure pain balance remains, the rear bulbs look to be entertaining to change (for the onlookers)

And before you say anything, yes your glove box IS probably bigger than my boot !!!!

Am I the only one here who doesn't find changing the bulbs on the 2nd gen difficult?

              Nope.

Mind you, I've only had to do it once.

No, piece of cake really, only takes 1/2 hour for both bulbs.

I wouldn’t be seen dead driving a French car, they are even less appealing than an old Skoda.

I have not had to change the headlamp bulbs on the Surf yet (had it nearly 2 years now) but I do want to upgrade the existing lamps before winter..... maybe even fit roof lamps.
Mine WAS a 150 bhp V6 and ran on PETROL

Ah good to Renault is keeping the tradition of putting things you need to get to in the most awkward places. Have had a 9, a 5 and a 21 (sounds like ordering from a chineese) and all have been like it.
Haven't had yet the pleasure of changing a bulb on the surf (feels like changed just about everything else) was going to do the sidelight last year, but the nice people in the toyota garage done it while they did the steering recall.

jeez, must be running on veg that makes the bulbs go sooner

Never had any problems changing them on the prefacelift surf, haven't had to change them on this one yet, maybe it's coz i only ran it on veg for a week or two

As I recall, changing the bulbs on the pre-facelift is pretty much a case of topping up the oil and cutting the wick down to a fresh bit.
