It used to be the company car of the MD of Cardiff Toyota for 1 year when it was new. The guy I got it off has owned it ever since.
I ended up going for the petrol because the diesels all seemed to have very high milages and were quite battered. Either of the engines have pretty much the same power, petrol not as good fuel economy but petrol is cheaper now so it balances out. Plus LPG is only 52p/ltr so that will feel like doing 40 to the gallon lol.Another member of the 'A' team

The Jap imports don't usually have the electronic lockers - at best maybe an LSD on the rear and thats it (but they are usually cleaner).Another member of the 'A' team

Nice one. Being a Landcruiser Owner myself I'm a bit biased but 3 years on and having done 70K miles in mine I don't regret the purchase at all. You might want to look at getting the LPG conversion done quick.
the 4.5 motor is a peach though and as long lasting as the diesel - also it takes well to LPG.
The OME suspension is good on the LC as is the TJM XGS suspension.
Look out for Roodogs on ebay, he does quite a few bits for the LC - a lot of the best stuff comes in from Australia as they think the Land Cruiser (and the Nissan Patrol) is the mutts nuts.
Occasionally you can get the factory Winch on ebay - I got one including the bumper for £600 - 3.5 ton winch and it all fits behind the bumper nicely.
For the Tyres, can't fault my Cooper ATRs - very long life, good in the wet.
For 33 inch tyres you won't need a lift, 35s need a 2 inch lift. The OME basic suspension kit gives about 1 inch lift, or you can get a 2 inch lift - same on the TJM kit.
OEC International in Devon are a great place for accessories for it as are TBR in Harwich.
Best of luck with it anyway, don't think you will regret it at all.
Oh and one thiong to remember, use the lockers once a month or so to keep them working, the rear locker particularly sometimes gets stuck - dirt and water eventually take their toll although they can be freed up and make to work again, you generally don't need to replace the actuator - sometimes even a sharp tap will do the job.Last edited by lucky; 18 August 2008, 11:04.

The petrol 80 series often only came with rear LSD in the UK so getting one with the front and rear e-lockers is a good find.

I see you've got the same wheels as mine now, are they 17 inch ones or 16 inch.
