did the merc come with instructions?

more than likely, it won't have anything as old fashioned as a "button" or "lever" to select 4wd... when it senses slippery surface, it will adjust itself accordingly... such as reducing the power from one whell to the other and front to back.
in a way that's better... no selecting 4wd once you're already stuck!
if you read the instructions and learn to drive it properly, shouldn't be any problem!!


saying that, my merc's 57 reg and that has a knob to select the prop lock and axle diff locks.... it's permanent "open" 4wd though.

hey nah the car is only in my possesion for a few days while they fix the surf... it also is a 57 reg but no buttons or knobs for 4x4 and
No instructions..
Just everytime I go onto a sandy lane or grass this yellow triangle comes on, vibration through the vehicle and stuff like that...
also it tells me that the service is 70 days overdue....
A well I don't know but I think the car is a sad excuse for a 4x4 and not a very good drive...and the boot is to small etc....

Believe it or not that was the tree (stump), it grounded out. If you look closely you can see the dark patch underneath.

The poor bloke leap out to look, saw us standing on the ridge, one of us (me) started yelling for him to try the little puddle, some nice children backed up the older child (me) in calling for his swimming lesson. At which point he jumped back in and reversed out never to be seen again.

To be honest Duane I remember the Incident well but can't remember the finer details ..... (I've aged 2 years since that)
