A scotsmans laid out £643 and he's got to ask if he's been ripped off

If it's the same as a 2nd gen it took me all of about 3 minutes to adjust the handbrake, check it and loosen it back off so the car would actually move. Call that £30 at most garages. MOT should be £53.10 or something now.

Exhausts can be expensive, but £560 expensive, i hope it's a good one! never mind stainless i think i'd want titanium or something for that price.

Recent MOT was about £45. New rear exhaust from Milners £70 delivered. Fitted by garage etc total cost with MOT £120!

LOL!!! I don't feel so bad now!!!!

Mind you still need to get my parts fitted so I may not be laughing after I see the Labour charges! My new exhaust (well new to me!) cost about £160 all in. Hopefully labour won't be too much - even better I may get down to Stormforce and do it myself with lots of help!

According to the bills I got with my new surf (92 J Plate) the previous owner spent £1,300 on a service and mot at the main dealers ( I paid £800 for the Surf 2 weeks ago lol)
