You know what? I prefer the beige ragtop one on eblag.

That one looks too much, and I hate those stupid redneck marker lights and little wee sunshade above the screen.

Bet someone called Bubba, Cleetus or Billy-Bob owns it.

It's got some very bad rot in the chassis though if you read through the thread, worse than a UK truck!

Still, a Corvette lump under the bonnet, phwoarrrr.

My thoughts exactly. Pull the body lift out, or at least reduce it to a reasonable size, like 2 inches and convert to hi steer before you break something.

what would he break or am i being a dumb arse?

Have a look later down the thread, the floor by the body mounts is shot. Image a 1" long spanner, you won't get a lot leverage on it, now use a 4" long spanner, you be able to get a lot more everage. These are the forces on the body/chassis attacment points. The bigger the body lift, the easier it is for the floor to flex when the truck moves, then add bouncing around offroad and you'll see why big body lifts are frowned on.

Hi steer is a better way of running the steering linkage than the boomerang and short link arm of stock Toy solid axles. Any sort of lift on the front axle and you get lots of 'bump steer' with the stock set up. The link arm is to short, and so as the axle goes up and down, it actually turns the wheels even though you arn't moving the steering wheel. more than 3" of lift and you'll find with the O/S wheel down a hole, even with the steering on full lock, the wheels are only pointing ahead.

My life will be complete when the 350 Chevy I have in the garage is snuggly tucked under its bonnet.
