      yes...

Not so long ago actually... laid the back seats down, put in a futon mattress and viola - instant camp... had a tarp setup over the rear of the vehicles and was quite comfy... Beats setting up tents etc in the rain... I cant do this when I take the whole family though....

same as......inflatable airbed, £7.99 from tesco, warm as toast.

but.........dont forget that if you have the rear door child locks on,it makes getting out in the morning....interesting, if you dont have a tent/tarp on the back, but its great warm, dry camping
        Non intercooled nothing.

I used to have a surf a few years ago and i can vaguely remember what the space is like in the back. I am considering buying one for a very long trip and need 4x4, also room to kip in the back (tents not suitable)

Does the seats fold down fully?

Whats the max length (to lie in) do these have?

Would two adults sleeping opposite way round to each other fit?

          cheers

I am 6'3" and I unbolted the bottom part of rear seats and took them out and my feet were still sticking in between front seats.

it's almost spot on 6' from the inside of the tailgate to the back of the centre cubby box with the rear seat bases removed. You can use 7'+ by sticking your legs one side or t'other and folding the front seats forward too.

i drive up to Dundee from Worcester (409 miles) every 4 weeks to visit the misses. when i'm up there we normally go off camping with a few pals, but i have no tent, so i put the seats down, put a singe marress in the back and you are set for one comfy night, especially if you wake some good tunes on.

At Rockness last year we slept 4 in the truck two in the back and one in each front seat, maybe nt the worlds most comfortable sleep but still better than some hotels I have been to.

camped in the back of my truck loads of times. Even set up a leasure battery system to run a light, small fridge and a few spare 12V plugs. Will put up a few pics if you're interested. Done this little mod too http://www.showmesome.info/hilux/wor...dow_switch.htm
makes getting in and out easier.

Yeah, sleep in the back all the time... had the mrs make some curtains that clip over the plastic edge around the headlining, brill, keeps you warm, dry and with the invertor we normally have the small tele on too (attached to the headlining that folds away when not in use)... only problem is camp sites dont know what to classify it as...
