That's why we convert ours to Pratt's!!!

Here's a pic of a DC-3 "Basler" which is a classic 3 converted to have Pratt & Whitney PT-6 turbo-prop engines. This one is owned and operated by my old company. In the background you can see another DC-3 with Traditional Radial engines.

The Basler and Traditional 3 are both great planes to fly. The Basler pictured here gets retractable Skis installed for operation on ice strips on the south pole during their "summer". Pretty cool Flying!

Looking for a 1993 Surf 3.0TD in MB, Canada. HELP!

You'll still see them flying around.

BBMF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight operate one for training purposes, Air Atlantique at Coventry are flying enthusiasts into RIAT at RAF Fairford this weekend and we have a good friend who operates one out of Leeds/Bradford airport all nicely painted in olive drab with Overlord Black and white stripes on wings and fus,

An expensive hobby aviation in this country but the dak lives on !
