  • Wide ramps?

I fancy getting a couple of ramps to put the surf on when I'm cleaning the underside etc. and am gussing that the normal ones sold may not be up to the 2 ton weight (or it will be at the edge of their tolerance) and that they may not be wide enough even for my (not very big) 31/10.5 15 tyres.

Any ideas where to source from at a decent price or even better, how to make your own from cereal boxes and sticky back plastic?

They can be fabricated easy enough out of angle iron.

Give Miriam a shout, perhaps he could make some and add them to the catalogue.

    Even easier, fit a bodylift.

Standard car ramps will be fine.

I've used standard car ramps whenever I'm jet washing the underside of the car (as if that happens regularly). The tyres do overhang slightly either side, but it ain't by too much (and I'm still on the set I purchased five years ago), and so far they haven't shown any signs wear (the ramps not the tyres).
                Gone from 4x4 to 1x2
