Mine was intermittent & they would'nt accept that fault but its gone away anyway. UPS will collect it the next working day, Make sure its in a plain box with no ref to whats in it. UPS will bring the labels then its sent to Germany usually a 2 week turnaround.
Also remove the HARD DISK do not send it with any cables etc.
Do not:
· Do not write Xbox or Microsoft on the outside of the package.
· Do not use your original Xbox or Xbox 360 packaging to send your console to our Service Centre, as it will not be returned.
· Do not include any Games, Hard Drives, AV cables, Controllers or any other accessories with the console unless instructed by an Xbox Service Agent.(\__/)

On my second 360. both have had ring of death. The first one had already been opened so had no m/s coverage so I removed the x clamps and put new thermal paste on the chips. Solved it straight away.
But yeah, if it is still under the 3 year warranty, it is exactly how marky has said. Give em a call and get it sent off. They pay postage etc!Yippee-Kay-Ay, Melon Farmer.

Elite is the way to go, much better insides, less likely to crash out.
I am on the edge of Totton at the mo but born and bred in Marchwood. I know, I know, we eat our young and we have meaningful relations with our siblings!
I cant play a banjo tho.Yippee-Kay-Ay, Melon Farmer.

That almost sounds like a plan! My smurf is a bit bog standard at the moment as I gained it from the g/f and she did nothing with it, hence me hunting out parts and stuff on here. I do like the fact that the rear speakers are amped. Love upsetting the chavs by drowning them out with metal!Yippee-Kay-Ay, Melon Farmer.

I had my x-box from a nice man on eBay, it came with 12 new games, all ex-rentals.
When I actually received it, the games were copies and the box was second hand.
This had a moded dvd-rom in it to allow the copies to work.
When it went splat I tried the seller, who for some reason is no longer registered on eBay, and then contacted Microsoft.
I explained everything to them, including the dvd-rom bit and they said send it in.
I did and it was repaired (with a new standard rom) and sent back.
The only down side was that I then had no games that would work
You got to hand it to them though, they didn't charge me for it!Back in the world of Surfdom
