No worries mate, no where your coming from i to only use soldered copper joints and not a lover of speedfit but it very handy for bodge jobs in your own house
Where i live we can't use solder / yorkshire fittings due to the peat concentrate the acid destroys the solder and they pop off. compression fittings every time.
Ps Just got my computer back up and on line after the house took a direct lightening hit so that and being away from home for weeks means I haven't been able to pop in for tea and cakes.
hope to look in tonight.

My ceilings came down some time ago cos the guy who built my highland home was a bit thrifty and used second hand old garage airling hose with jubilee clips on the hot water system.
