  • newbie help please!

i'm just buying my brother in law's truck. it's a '96 n plate surf, 3.0 td auto. ssrx model. any ideas on fuel economy? and any recomendations on insurance companies. it does drive really nice, and the price is tidy, and i do plan on upgrading the stereo etc. it will be nice to have something to tweak and play with, does anyone really modify these trucks.
i know these are stoopid questions, but it may help a lost cause (me!)

thanks m8, how do you tell the difference between gen 2 and 3. she is in green over silver trim, big surf stickers down the sides. spare tyre is underside of the boot. i think it's a gen 3 but, what do i know! she is pretty, and next week she will be mine. i'm letting my brother get it m.o.t.'ed, and then i'll pick it up.
      cheers m.

Welcome along mate - and where in Hell is your warm room??

I think '96 onwards is 3rd Gen, feminine hairdo-mobile territory - but you get better transfer set up than us lowly, macho, masculine 2nd genners....
