  • Very lucky

Mates had a nasty accident that could have been alot worse. Towing her trailer and 2 horses - trailer started to sway an next minute she was off the road and down a bank through some trees and a fence. The trailer rolled but luckily didnt roll the truck.

Horses were fine but for a few grazes, fact they are both large and just fitted in helped. Trucks a bit bent - towbar an wheel carrier but the winch bumper saved most of the front. Truck saved it being alot worse - can't imagine what would have happened had she been in something small.

If I had an accident like that and walked away I'd be keeping the truck

Glad your mate's alright but the important thing is to find out what was the cause of the problem. The usual suspects for snaking related accidents are:

                            Tyre blowouts on the trailer

                            Badly loaded trailers

                            Mismatched outfit

                            Excess speed downhill

                            Braking when snaking starts

Life is too important to take seriously !

She is pretty upset by it all an will prob never tow again - so bit expensive to run. She was a very slow driver towin so no one can work out how it happened.

Lottery - yeah someone was watchin over her.

Was one thing though- a landscape gardener helped by cutting the section which stops them biting one another - it was pressing on the mares windpipe. She never got his name or company so if anyone out there knows him. Funny thing was - as soon as the mare could breathe she started eating her haynet.......how bizarre is that.
