While on my drive home from helping out at wimbourne folk festival I was stopped by the police. Their reason was because I was driving eratically (who me? never ) Now the reason why i drove eratically was because while driving some pillock in a Mazda Bongo 2 cars ahead of me decide to stop and turn left without warning or indication. So the car infont of me stopped quick, and so to avoid an accident I did the same. Because of those actions the police car behind me followed me for about half a mile, not indicating at 2 roundabouts while following. Then it put it's lights on so as a natural reaction I pulled over, closely followed by the police car. They said I pulled over a little too eratically too!! Well I saw a police car with its lights on behind me, I asumed it was on a call. Would they preferred me to dawdle along and block it from overtaking? So after a chat with to office itching to get me in handcuffs to fulfil his quota. He said he could smell alcohol on me, well I'd been working behind a busy bar for 5 hours I may have a smell of alcohol on me. I was let on my way with a warning and a the breathaliser test tube. What annoyed me most was that I when I told the officer the reasons for what I did I was ignored and assumed to be a drunk driver. I didn't bother to argue my case any further as the officer was getting a little cuff happy and I didn't wanna push my luck. So to make things better I had a beer when I got home.

I wasn't drunk though, but that was ignored. I only smelt of drink because I'd been pulling the pints instead of drinking them. The poilce even saw the Mazda turning sharply but went after me and not him.

Thats the thing, if they smell alcohol they can arrest you there and then, and sort it at the station... Sounds like a very reasonable officer to me....
                it's in me shed, mate.

I took the breathaliser and passed though. But this didn't seem to please the officer.

Exactly, the officer's attitude was terrible. I was a drunk driver and no matter what I said would not budge that thought. Also the hypocrasy of the erratic driving acusation, despite the office not indicating at 2 roundabouts!!

Quick question. If you had indeed been drunk whilst in charge of a vehicle, I suppose you would have said to the officer: 'yes, I'm p1ssed as a newt mate'? Of course you wouldn't. They could smell alcohol. People lie. What would you have them do?

Jeez, people complain when they do nothing, and then complain when they do something. Can they do nothing right? They have no idea whether you are legit or a lying scumbag until they can prove one way or the other.

Tell me, would you be able to deal with the scum of the earth on a daily basis and keep an optimistic outlook on everything and towards everyone?
