Reversing light wiring

OK maybe that stroke has left my brain in the off mode, so help please, trying to wire extra lights on the back , I have identified the red and blue wire and spliced onto it, so when the reversing switch kicks in and the lights are on is this a live or neutral, sorry to be thick today

Can you not test it with a meter? would geuss red + and black is - the - side should go to the bulb holder
