  • Front Hubs..

    Newbie question or rather clarification...

I have a 2nd gen 1995 3.0 Surf. I'm aware to put it into 4WD i just press the button (only slippery surfeces only).

What i need clarification on is weather i need to do anything special to my hubs when i enter or exit 4WD. A friend of mine has a Fortrack and on leaving 4WD he has to reverse for 10 yards to release the front hubs, i just need to know if i should also be doing this.

I've done a search on this through the forum and havn't located this exact question, although reading many other mosts regarding locked etc hubs has been very useful.

    Many thanks,

    J

No you dont, other than taking your foot off the gas.

You have ADD (do a search for that) which isn't the same system as the Daihatsu uses.

              Sorry Andy, missed this yesterday.

did the local green lane, including all the extras ;-)

Fortrack got stuck loads, inc one space where the Surf just churned through

I'm now almost an expert at being a winch anchor
