clamps onto the door opening at the front, like a gutterless roof rack, and at the back theres a bracket that goes onto the wiper pivot. got a few extra feet under it to spread the weight out. Had 6 oak doors on without drama(apart from lifting them up there.,..) but then I have a full set of ARBs...

Doors are fine, but whatever you do please don't stick a spare wheel up there, the results can be fatal!
