You could also keep a pesky scrap iron (oops I mean scorpion) - preferably under a strong heavy boot

It's funny, but I knew you'd say something that!

damn i was going for that to transport my collie around, looks like it won't get to be such a bargain now.

and then i can get the other half to think about letting me have a second dog too

still sitting at it's starting price with 0 bids, would honestly cost in the £400 region for that new, and if we get another police pup next year i'll probably end up paying that for one. Even if it goes to the buy it now it's still a bargain if it's what your after.

If you can get one out of a merc 4x4 they fit quite well if you cut the bottom bit off...

we're registered as puppy walkers for the police, it basically means taking in a pup as soon as it's old enough to leave it's mother, looking after it and doing some basic training with it at home, before it's old enough to go back to the police training centres and go through the proper police training school, if it makes the grade it becomes a working police dog, if not the police handler who has trained it and then the 'puppy walker' have first refusal on it as a pet.

We had our first one last year, but was a bit of an odd one anyway as it wasn't one from a police litter as such, was a young pup that was given to the police when it's owners split up, never made the grade but he was a little git, too hyper to ever make it as a police dog, and could escape from anywhere, used to jump out the lounge window to chase cats, climbed out the window of the car on the side of the A249, the window was honestly open less than 6 inches and this was an 8 month old pup. We were offered one from the next litter but didn't take it on, then the following litter we didn't get offered one from, but we're hoping to get one from the litter this autumn.
