  • Fitting recovery hook

    OK, stupid question time...

Just got a new recovery hook courtesy of Tony N

The hook comes with two nuts but are these needed to fit the hook? I cant see how I could get to where the nuts will sit in the chassis to hold them with a socket or whatever whilst I do up the bolt form underneath.

I'm guessing you don't need them and the surf has nuts that are already there as permanent fixtures?

Thought I would ask rather than try it, find I'm wrong and lose the tie down eye as well?

2nd gen chassis has nuts welded inside of chassis leg at front.

There should have been 2 loose bolts in the bag, as the bolts supplied won't fitthe threaded holes in the chassis.

        Do you find them?
