  • F T controller?

    hi

    my hilux has an f t controller fitted but i dont know what it does. when i push the buttons i think i can feel a very slight change in revs, but i dont notice any real change in the way it drives.

    any ideas?

                so its a turbo timer eh?

                any idea how to use it? ive got no instructions, and it doesnt have a display, just buttons saying norm, auto, hi and low.

                the make is Elford, but cant find anything on the net on them.

                  More useful on performance cars where you generate very high turbo temps, AND I have a feeling you'll probably find your theft insurance will be void if your insurance co find out you've got one.

                  Others will confirm or deny this, but I have a recollection that you cant leave your vehicle unattended and running.

                  Just take it easy in the last five mins of your journey so your turbo cools while there's still oil there.

                    What Apache said, I had one on my subaru, but if you don't drive at 70mph and then suddenly park and switch off then your turbo should be fine.
