this is for the peeps wondering about engine swaps.the diahatsu four track 2.8 turbo diesel lump if you can get hold of one,very good strong engine,with loads of grunt.bolts straight on to the toyota manual gearbox.no electronics involved nice easy more or less straight swap.just a few bits like exhaust and engine mounts.just though i would share that with you all.

awesome engine - my mates used his to tow a three tonne cabin everyday for the last 6 years and its still going strong. I've used it to tow the horse box and it flies.

make that two engines in stock. no not yet mate,i havnt even got it in there yet,i just pulled out an old manual 5sp box and it slid straight on,everything lines up.well it should do anyway as diahatsu fitted toyota g/boxes in their trucks anyway.and the old 3y motor too.so by my reckoning,a few mods to the motor mounts and hey presto should go in a treat.
