from what i know of breaking, i would say the same as rich. you won't get more than 1k for it. if i was you i would source and engine, and i'm sure lots of people on here will help you make hippo live again.

i only know what you know, how to break them!!!!! , selling parts i aint got a clue ,
i sold mine as a breaker as it will be barred in london in 2010[4x4light utility]
if it was registered as an estate i might have replaced the engine,
look at the price of a decent engine trev then look at the price of anew truck , then decide.
3rd gen petrol in 4sale section , how much mileage do you do??

Hi folks,

As you can imagine I have been doing a lot of thinking, and I have had to come to a VERY difficult choice.

My heart says keep hippo and get her repaired, but by head is saying you need transport - cheap and now

Unfortunately I have to go with my head, I have been incredibly lucky to be able to work from home for both this week, and next week, but obviously there are limits. I do not have the funds to buy a new lump and get it fitted so I have to be sensible and look for another home for hippo

I will be contacting Koi with an ad later tonight, but there will be an odd incentive or two for someone to take her on as a project.

I do intend at some point in the future to get another beast once the wallet feels healthier, so (sorry if it annoys you) I will still be around.

Oh Trev - not an easy choice I bet. Hope you get a good home / price for her.

You can't go - we need you to police the IOTW etc and run the polls an post all the news items an well - you would be very much missed if you did.
