They work from a compressor and have multiple settings with regards to stiffness, (or softness), whichever way you prefer to class it. They have a control module in the cab for tweaking the settings, if I remember correctly.

If you're not an off-roading nut, or just stick to certain types of terrain, they're way overkill for you. If you need to cope with any terrain and/or conditions, you want them, (or something like).

If you're just wanting some stiff shocks, non-adjustable, get a set of ES9000's.

Just put 9000,s on the front. what a difference they make to having original ones on that are total knackers. never really been off road majorly. going to drumclog next weekend for ma first outing. i just like stiff shocks.

9000's all round should be fine for you then. Might as well replace the rear springs too if you do the back set, (if they're still the original springs).

Chris, you may need what I have today, ES9000s all round and Land Cruiser springs, good firm ride on road, and I have no ARBs at all....

Pretty good offroad, although can be a little firm on the rocky stuff...

So, I've opted for adjustable shocks that I can change on the fly, soften them up a bit for the tricky stuff, and stiffen them up for tarmac, and I've just bought a new winch, so they'll need to be able to compensate for the extra weight on the front...

Tim - I've asked for lifted (2-4") so let's see what they say....

the 9000's I enquired about before (little online chat thingy) were about $100 each and from specialist leisure here they are £100 each I think.
