Does anyone know the story of the 'new tax' system?
I only know about the 'showroom tax' on new 4x4's, but will the road tax be increased as well?

I think if your vehicle is 7 years old or younger you fall under the new tax system.... until they change it again...

What is not clear is whether the stealth back-dating is to the date of registration in UK or date of manufacture. Some articles mention the former. Back-dating is a money grabbing exercise and not guiding green choices which was the rationale under which they sold it in the first place.
