They are a well made, accurate German air rifle… but they are just so dammed ugly!
I actually had one of the first ones in the UK….. I’d been to the gun shop to pick up another new air-rifle only to find that the delivery had been delayed so the shop owner pushed one of those HW100 on to me… kept it a week and hated the look of it so it went back the following week and was exchanged for a Theoben MFR.
These days I only use proper rifles (.22, .223, .308 .375H&H etc.) and I should be picking up a nice 7.62x39 rifle this weekend.
Not a bad idea, in truth. Stocks look beautiful if you get rid of that tacky dark varnish and use teak oil on them instead. Did that to my old Diana .22. Looks far better than it did stock. (No pun intended).
Tony, are the Weihrauch's still as damned heavy as they used to be?
