  • Tesco insurance??

Just tried to get a quote from Tesco's Insurance,
and was told they do not insure grey imports

How come a lot of you guys managed to get insured with them?
    Relatively cheaply as well??

Ring them back and ask to speak to someone who knows what they do insure.
Or don't tell them its an import, I didn't and just told them the make and model then she told me it was an import and the price.

I am looking at my renewal notice from Tesco now.

In fact I need to pay it so I will do it now and see if they accept it.

I also just gave make and model last year when I first spoke to them. If I were you I would keep phoning until you get someone with a brain on the other end. Also check the schedule when it comes because on mine the miles per year were less than I asked for and they tried to skin me another £35.

I can confirm they still cover Surfs!

They took my money quick sharp....

The 'Make and model of car' line reads

        Toyota Hilux 2.4Td Surf ssr.

Try giving them the details like that and their computer should match it easily

        Phil.

I went with Tesco just over a month ago so they should insure you.

Mine was horrendously expensive but thats only because of my age and they were still the best so I'd try them again.
