I should have known by the rather rakish rasping sound the insulation tape made under acceleration.
Maybe is should stand as a warning to others who've repaired 'that' pipe several times. That was glued with superglue, sealed with silicone and wrapped with tape, and STILL collapsed under the not insignificant load of (at a guess) the incredible rock climb out of the Dyfi Valley.Cutting steps in the roof of the world
