Why the truck won't start

i have now found out why the truck wouldn't start.






I know i should of checked the head before fitting the engine but i thought i'd take a chance on it.
Heres my assistant Will

a veg oil mix or just diesel?

as far as i know it was just run on desiel

id guess it over heated and was kept running, the burning fuel probably melted the overheated head.

I thought you were going to say, some mupet ripped it out of the old car with a fork lift and stuck the forks through the head.

Thats what the head looks like.It was worth a try fitting the complete lot and then change the head if needed.I think next time i will just strip the head off.
At least Dave done a good job of it lmao...

i was very surprised that the tops of the pistons and bores are in good condition.I can't see any damage to either
