kzn130 fuel pump

After fitting this engine and it still wont fire up i was told that the fuel pump on the 3.0l are coded and will need to be recoded via the ECU or put the original fuel pump back in . Can anyone confirm this is right or wrong please asap TIA

Hi "NO" the pump is not coded as i have done two 3litre swops and had no problem starting them up , your fault must be some where else.

thanks Bob thats what i thought and when the garage said about it i started to doubt myself as i hadn't heard of them having to be coded
