New 2.4 surf owner wiith towing questions and getting owners manualss

Recently bought a 2.4 surf which is great, towed opur caravan for the first time which is just over a ton and found the car a bit gutless on the hills, have read the artciles on the forum and there are suggestions of towing with the overdrive on is this a good idea?

Also what is the STC switch for and does this effect the towing capability?

Also does anyone know of the ebst place for a manual for the car as a book or online?

You need to change your driving style when towing my old 2.4 surf pulled my 1 3/4 Tonne ABBEY SPECTRUM to cornwall ok.

i upgraded to a 3.0 ltr coz i have a 1.5 tonne caravan and the 2.4 struggled on hills but having said that i do live in wales

ECT on O/D off on climbs 3.0 should be better dont floor it as you wont see any benefit
