Turbo Air Intake Hose.

I have a 92 2.4 which has a perished turbo air intake hose.Although the engine appears to run o/k, the fuel consumption is around 17 - 20 mpg. Am i right in thinking this may be part of the poor fuel consumption? The fuel pump has been re- sealed so i don't think its a leak.

you can repair the hose as i did. I got some locktight flexible silicone from halfrauds, applied it over night until it had set, i had to hold it together with insulating tape, which i have left on, put it back on and its as good as new.

i replaced my hose too and from the turbo
got them from toyota very costly for 2 bits of rubber
1 was 110 quid
other was 76 quid i think
but mine were fluked if you can repear it go for it
but i like deep water so need it tip top
