I have just managed my best ever mpg, a massive 24.7!

Thats on BFG AT's and a light foot. My usual journey is on the motorway, but for this tank I decided to use country lanes and minor roads, so my speed never really went above 40mph. Just got to leave earlier in the morning for work!

        My 'normal' commute returns 22-23mpg

Hippo (2nd gen auto) does 3/4 of her regular 130km daily run on motorways (M23 & M25)

Since 20th May 2007 she has covered 17,300 miles at an average of 25.08, overall since I got her 4 year ago she has averaged 25.52 mpg.

when I got her I was working 6 mile away, then I got a choice, work 40 mile away or redundant - ho hum

So Hippo now knows the M25 from J7 - J11 like the back of her tyre !!!!
