Normally i would use this to lift and engine but the height of the surf makes this too long


So when i got bord last night i made this up



But the hucks did not fit the engine so i made this



And just to make that little extra clearance i made this



Obviously not as good as string, but safer, me thinks

It would be better and safer if i had something like that but never thought about it,i will look into getting something for next time tho

As usuall Toby i have all the tools. after the time when i need them may be planning before the event would be better.

Just been talking to Dave, he has been asked by the land owner to get rid of the Surf as soon as posible so if either you or Richard need anything, speak up before its gone, ill gladly remove if required.

us yorkshire folk call them chains legs
you get 2 3 4 6 legs
i have some layed about at the yard
i made mods to one and use it for pulling stuck 4x4's out
i can look what i have at the yard if you need any i can bring them in rtts

The problem with them is that due to the size (length) they are not suitable for lifting an engine with a standard engine lift as you can not get the height to clear the rad, thats why i made up something more suitable, but as you say they are good for recovery.
