There is a replacement for R12, is more slightly more expensive, but its easier to just get it refilled with that than start buggering around with all the seals and pipes and stuff.

          hi tony
i have access to an r134a aircon machine and gas, so would rather change over as obviously if needed to regass in the future it would be free, ive read people have just blew out there dryer not changed there compressor any seals etc and just used the adapter valves to shove the gas and oil in and out successfully (albeit not being exactly as cold as usng r12), just wondered if anyone on here had done it or similaand obviously were they got there valves etc from.

Thats right, all 3L 2nd Gens are R134a. from 93' on R12 was sacked. A 3rd Gen should be easy to gas.
