Great to see you survived !

Our first time in a caravan was about 11 years ago - three 4 year olds and two adults in a 2 berth van - the amazing thing was that we bought our own van about 3 years later .......

I keep thinking about buying a tourer but wonder if i may turn into a raving loony after a weekend with xbox deprived hubby, sky tv deprived kids and 3 big yappy dogs

Wonder if i could sneak away alone it in...nice bit of peace and quiet

They would only notice i was gone when the dishwasher was full

Better than noticing when the dishwasher has gone missing.

A week in a caravan on the isle of wiget when the kids were young put me off the gipsy life for good, skint after two days, bore'd silly, freezing at night, sweating in the day, no hot water in the showers if ya wer'nt in the first three in there, could'nt get in the pub's with kids, missis cr@pping in my ear non stop, i needed a weeks holiday to get over my weeks holiday, rather stay at home,

I think things have changed a bit since then .....

We were on a rally over the weekend - off mains electricity but we still had TV, DVD, CD, radio, hot water, shower, toilet, oven, hob, fridge, freezer, extractor fan and heating so hot we had to open the windows to cool down !

If anyone on the site ####es you off get some dog food and flick it onto the top of their caravan around 2am, the seagulls fighting on top of the van at first light will really sort em out.

I did it to my mate in his tent, I still laugh about it now.
