Just a thought - was the PC a new one or an ex demo? And was the Office sw pre installed?
If you have the media, you should be able to reinstall, but you could just call the company you bought the PC from and find out when the software was installed - last Friday to today is clearly less than the 60 days. I suspect this has nothing to do with Microsoft at all...
And - why would you put business files onto a demo product? Do you only need to work for 60 days???
Follow the advice above and download OpenOffice.Too old to care, young enough to remember

I think you call it trying before you buy,but in this case I won't be buying as I did not have enough time to try the product out properly.Originally posted by MudSurfer View PostJust a thought - was the PC a new one or an ex demo? And was the Office sw pre installed?

Gotta agree with this. This is in no way MS's fault, it IS the fault of who ever you bought the PC from. It's one thing to have a go at MS when they do things wrong (and they do, just like EVERY other company around), but another to have a go at MS when they're not at fault.Originally posted by MudSurfer View PostJust a thought - was the PC a new one or an ex demo?
