  • Engine swap weekend

I am hoping to get another engine soon to put in the 3l i just bought so if anyone wants to help out and assist then your more than welcome.
The last engine i ever changed was a mk2 fiesta about 15 years ago so this one is gonna be new to me.
If anyone has any advice etc and the best and easiest to do things it would be great.

When I was a kid my dad swapped the engine on a Fiat 500. From that, my advice would be:

            - Stick a few bricks under the engine on the donor car
            - Undo everything
            - Lift the back of the car up and wheel it off
            - Wheel the target vehicle back on top of the engine
            - Do everything back up

Just make sure there aren't any 'spare' bolts after you finish.

take plenty pics and do a detailed write up, it won't help you but others can benefit.
