    Hi All,
I am looking for reccomendations for a nice B&B or hotel for thurs 24th as I am giving a course at ferndown/west moors and want to stay the night before returning home. A reccomendation for a good place to nosh would be apreciated (cant handle indian food)
Should any of you locals wish to meet up for a jar that could be good too!

          Hi,

Just a recommandation as I live a few 100 yards from there and this B&B seems very popular, always busy week days and weekends.

if you're staying near Ferndown then there's a weatherspoons ther called the nightjar. Where in West Moors are you going? Is it the fire training centre near the army camp?

Yep thats it mate, got to show the dorsetshire firefighters how to make big fireballs!...all in the name of community education!
As I will be leaving here early and it will be a full day, I thought a relax in the evening rather than drive home knackered
I have now booked that B&B in Christchurch and I understand there are a few reasonable restaurants round there but would still be up for a meet and as long as I dont have to drive , a few wet ones!

I'll have a look through for some places in Christchurch. I know that pace in West Moors. I used to work for a contractor that installed their security fencing and cameras. (left the drawings of the security layout on the train from Poole to Weymouth too, got them back though lol) What makes me laugh is that it's a huge fuel depot, and anything that has the potential to cause a fire of even a spark is confescated as you enter. But in some areas the fire brigade are there doing fire training exercises.

Yea how mad is that, last time up there they wouldn't allow me on site in a petrol fueled car, 2 hours later I was doing this!

Going back a few years, some Gypsy's moved onto the industrial estate next door, and were nicking fuel and electric from the army camp.
