Extended Holiday - Redundancy

Well, friday is my last working day....

Company decided some time ago to make the whole IT department redundant (two of us) and outsource.

Been with the company 7 years and gave em everything nearly, worked some weekends, some late nights to get programs / network stuff configured.

Got my CV out there and got an interview tomoz

Still miss the Surf that I sold but heye at least the new motor only costs me about 30-40 quid to fill up and I get between 28 and 39 mpg depending upon the traffic and my right foot.

That sucks Gaz, hope you find something soon. Have you looked to see if EDS (who I work for) have anything going? I'm based in Preston, so it wouldn't be that far for you.

I`m looking for a job too- why did I choose horticulture?
Wished I`d chosen that CAD course in 1987 when it first came out. or a plumber/welder/dump truck driver.............
Talking of that- loads of jobs for construction machinery operators with green cards..... and apparently u need 300 hours exp. on that particular machine.

believe me Bob, i THOUGHT about it..setting up a schedule to shutdown the machines after i left and then to delete the schedule so theres no trace....but hey would only be bad if need references LOL

Just taken on online benchmark test for a company and passed at 80% so my CV goes forward. Its a local company that is re-doing their whole network and systems as they have acquired 14 other companies recently.

The other interview has been put back to tomorrow morning - so fingers crossed will have two options so far and only been looking over the last 2 weeks......hope you get sorted Mark
